At Allegro Moderato, we are proud to present our Executive Chef, Marcin Banaszak. After years of being the driving force behind the scenes in some of the most renowned kitchens in Ghent and Poland, he is now charting his own course on the Korenlei. 

Marcin brings a wealth of international experience with him. His craftsmanship was shaped in prestigious kitchens awarded multiple Michelin stars and high Gault&Millau scores. He learned the ropes in culinary hotspots in London, Spain and Poland, where precision and top quality were the only standards. 

In Allegro Moderato he translates this “high-end” expertise into an accessible bistronomic concept. His style is rooted in a classical French foundation, but is enriched with modern influences – which he picked up during his international travels – from subtle Asian nuances to a southern, Latin American touch. 

Marcin stands for a kitchen without compromise: the sophistication and depth of fine dining, but served in the relaxed and generous atmosphere of a bistro.
